We are ready for a new adventure far away from our Mamma’s even though we know the hay man is coming next week,, oh to try that new stuff,…..
f there is no closeup, it means those lambs are sold. Paisle and Wiley go home nest week, Teddy the other black wether, follows shortly. Will seem very quiet without them. But
iWe don’t really want to sleep in, so we were pretty excited that sick call ducks hatched, right outside our window! Call the do, and splash. So, if the sheep don’t get us up, and the donkey doesn’t start, the Ducks will.
By the way, runner ducks are getting ready to joins them, please move out of my summer house!
Hard to believe a couple babies will be leaving for their forever home soon. The mamma’s are leaving them to their own devices more and more, they show real independence when being moved from pen to pasture. No more running nicely along with mamma, lured by the rattle of some grain in a bucket. Now they scamper off, not caring about rules, fences, grain, or mamma, they see PANSIES! That’s dessert in lamb language!
The first to find their forever home ……Wiley, a black wether, and Paisley, a mottled ewe,. Since she isn’t black and isn’t white, she can’t be registered, but boy is she loved by her new owner who visits often until they can go home with her

It has been very busy here at cabin creek acres. Twins, Rhett and Miss Ashley arrived, much to mamma Baby’s disgust. Hence they are being bottle fed, doing very well. Very time consuming but so much fun!

Miss Mellie and Layla in the great outdoors. All the residents of the barn are really tired of snow, sleet, freezing temperatures and ice. It may be only for a little bit, but a walk outside to see the world was way past due.
